Oracle, Bloom Energy and Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico today announced a new partnership to increase reliable access to nourishing food for families in Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, supported by a combined $400,000 contribution to Roadrunner Food Bank, including $250,000 from Oracle and $150,000 from Bloom Energy.

With support from Oracle and Bloom Energy, Roadrunner Food Bank has launched a dedicated weekly Fresh Stop Mobile Market route serving seven new locations across Santa Teresa and Sunland Park. The partnership will support the driver, fuel, equipment, and operating costs needed to maintain the route, which is expected to distribute approximately 1 million pounds of food annually to families across Doña Ana County. Each stop provides households with a box of approximately 18 to 24 pounds of produce, along with shelf-stable foods. Neighbors will be able to pick up food at convenient community locations and on a schedule that works for them.

Food insecurity remains a significant challenge across Southern New Mexico. In Doña Ana County, more than 21% of residents and 25% of children experience food insecurity. Roadrunner Food Bank’s Fresh Stop Mobile Market are designed as recurring, community-based distributions in areas where access to traditional food assistance may be limited.

Roadrunner Food Bank has spent decades building the partnerships and distribution network needed to reach New Mexicans where they are. The new route builds on that existing infrastructure, creating a consistent weekly schedule that families in Santa Teresa and Sunland Park can rely on.

“Reliable access to nourishing food can make an enormous difference for a family, and the partnership with both Bloom Energy and Oracle allows us to reach more of our neighbors,” said Dana Yost, president and CEO of Roadrunner Food Bank. “With the support from each company, we’re expanding consistent, weekly food distribution in Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, helping ensure families across these communities have access to the food they need.”

“At Bloom, our work is centered on helping keep essential places and services in our communities running,” said Natalie Sunderland, Chief Marketing Officer of Bloom Energy. “The Fresh Stop Mobile Market reflects that same focus, bringing nutritious food closer to families on a consistent weekly schedule. We are proud to partner with Roadrunner Food Bank to help expand this important service in Santa Teresa and Sunland Park.”

The support from Oracle and Bloom Energy will help fund the dedicated driver, fuel, equipment and other operational needs required to maintain the recurring route throughout the year, building on Roadrunner Food Bank’s growing presence and distribution network across Southern New Mexico.

“For decades, Roadrunner Food Bank has shown what it means to be deeply committed to the communities it serves, meeting people with care, compassion, and an understanding of what families need,” said Colleen Cassity, global head of Social Impact, Oracle. “We’re honored to support their work and help strengthen the impact they’re making for families across Santa Teresa and Sunland Park.”

The new Fresh Stop Mobile Market expansion launched on August 24 at Tierra Madre and Anapra in Sunland Park, with additional sites coming soon. The seven weekly Fresh Stop Mobile Market locations are part of a broader collaboration between Oracle, Bloom Energy and Roadrunner Food Bank focused on strengthening food access in Santa Teresa and Sunland Park.

This commitment is part of Oracle, Bloom Energy and Project Jupiter’s [ongoing community investments](https://www.oracle.com/data-centers/dona-ana-county/) in Doña Ana County and across New Mexico including $50 million to help repair, upgrade, and improve local water systems; $360 million in direct support for schools, infrastructure, and local services; and $6.9 million for workforce development and community organizations. The project is already delivering measurable benefits: more than 700 New Mexico residents are working onsite to build the campus, and it has generated approximately $80 million in state and local tax revenue from January through June.

The project is expected to deliver more than $4.7 billion in economic impact for Doña Ana County and across New Mexico.
