The Exhibition Street location will provide customer engagement, technical support and business development services.

PTC announced the opening of a new office in Melbourne as part of its expansion in Australia and New Zealand. The office will support PTC’s [Onshape](https://www.onshape.com/en/) cloud-native CAD and PDM business in the region and provide additional local resources for customers.

The Exhibition Street office will serve as a regional location for customer engagement, technical support and business development. The local team will work to expand use of Onshape, support existing customers and develop relationships within the regional product development community.

The expansion follows increased adoption of Onshape among manufacturers and product development teams in Australia and New Zealand. Companies in the region are adopting cloud-based platforms to support collaboration and distributed product development workflows, increasing the need for local technical and customer support.

PTC said Onshape and its broader portfolio support its Intelligent Product Lifecycle approach, which focuses on establishing a product data foundation and making product data available across an organization. The company said broader access to product data can support product development, management of product complexity, regulatory and compliance activities, and the use of AI in manufacturing.
