The companies will merge Dassault’s virtual twin technology with Nvidia’s AI Infrastructure, open models, and software libraries to establish a workable real-world solution. Virtual twins, also known as digital twins, create a data-driven virtual replica of a real-world asset, system, or process. For data centers, virtual twins can help with power and cooling optimization, capacity planning for AI workloads, failure prediction and more. Virtual twin technology presents benefits for multiple industries, from manufacturing to the energy sector. Grand View Research projects the digital twin market to reach $328.5 billion by 2033, fueled by increased demand for predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, and production optimization. Large enterprises tend to dominate the digital twin market. He said the partnership will “transform how millions of researchers, designers, and engineers build the world’s largest industries. Nvidia is adopting Dassault’s model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to design AI factories with the Nvidia Rubin platform and integrate its Omniverse DSX Blueprint for large-scale deployment. "This partnership signals that the AI factory concept is now maturing beyond marketing buzzword towards engineering discipline," Stephen Sopko, an analyst at HyperFrame Research, told Data Center Knowledge. "Nvidia adopting Dassault's model-based systems engineering for Rubin platform design suggests the complexity of next-generation AI data centers has outstripped traditional deployment methodologies. We think the real message here is more than the software, it's that even NVIDIA is turning to digital twins to build their own facilities at scale." The infrastructure will power virtual twins using Nvidia’s open AI models and software libraries. The companies say the partnership will unlock advances in biology and materials research, AI-driven design and engineering, and more. “We are entering an era where artificial intelligence does not just predict or generate, but also understands the real world,” Pascal Daloz, CEO of Dassault Systèmes, said in a statement. “This partnership establishes a new foundation for industrial AI, one that is trustworthy by design and capable of scaling innovation across the generative economy.” In a LinkedIn comment, CortexForge Maverick Tarasoff said the partnership was a step toward tangible AI benefits for enterprises. “The real shift here isn’t smarter models – it’s trusted execution,” he wrote. “When virtual twins are grounded in physics and validated by science, AI stops being predictive and starts being usable in the real world.
