Oracle Cloud Migrations (OCM) now supports VMware Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) 8.0.3 for VMware-based migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Customers using the latest Oracle Cloud Migrations replication appliance can configure VDDK 8.0.3 as a supported agent dependency while continuing to use existing VDDK 7.0.2 configurations where needed.

Oracle Cloud Migrations VDDK 8.0.3 support

This update enables customers to use VDDK 8.0.3 and benefit from enhancements introduced across the VDDK 8.x release family, including newer runtime dependencies and alignment with current vSphere 8 environments. Customers can continue using VDDK 7.0.2 where required.

## What customers can expect

With this update, customers get:

- Support for VDDK 8.0.3 as a supported VMware migration dependency
- Continued support for VDDK 7.0.2
- The same core Oracle Cloud Migrations workflow, with no changes to the overall migration experience.
- Support for migration flows involving vCenter and vSphere 8 environments

Customers can continue using VDDK 7.0.2 or adopt VDDK 8.0.3 as their VMware environment evolves, without changing their existing Oracle Cloud Migrations workflow.
