原标题：大脑也有“带宽”瓶颈？他们发现拓宽人类感知交流“增强器”

原标题：开辟脑机接口“通信带宽”增强新范式（“咖”说科技）
人类大脑与物理世界之间存在“通信带宽”。感觉器官每秒向大脑传递约1100万比特的环境信息，而人类有意识的认知、决策与语言加工，其速率上限却被严格限定在10至50比特每秒。这一悬殊落差在日常生活中随处可见，例如，当对方语速过快时，便难以听清其所言。因此，如何拓宽生物智能与物理世界之间的信息接收“带宽”，成为脑机接口与认知神经科学共同面对的关键课题。
何种生理机制，决定了大脑加工信息的速度上限？前不久，北京大学心理与认知科学学院、IDG麦戈文脑科学研究所团队首次揭示，左脑听觉皮层的α节律是限定言语理解带宽的核心机制。研究通过多模态神经调控技术成功“加速”了这一节律，使被试者能够听懂原本无法分辨的超快速语音，拓宽了大脑的言语接收“带宽”。这一发现为突破人类交流的生理极限、增强脑机接口“通信带宽”提供了全新范式。
在认知神经科学领域，α振荡被视为大脑感知与认知的重要时间组织者，如同为信息流划定节拍的“内部时钟”。我们建立了新的认知实验范式，综合运用心理物理学、头皮脑电图、高精度经颅交流电刺激、重复听觉刺激与立体定向脑电图等技术，系统考察言语理解带宽的神经瓶颈及其机制。
我们首先建立了测量个体言语速率阈限的行为范式。结果显示，静息态下全脑平均的个体α峰值频率与言语速率阈限呈显著正相关：α节律越快，被试者理解快速语音的能力（即言语接收“带宽”）越强。该相关性在左侧颞叶电极通道上尤为稳健。
团队还运用高精度经颅交流电刺激，在个体阈限频率附近施加加速或减速的α频段刺激。结果表明，仅在加速刺激条件下，被试者的快速语音识别正确率显著提升，言语接收“带宽”被切实拓宽。更具启发性的是，当改用重复听觉刺激进行无创调控时，加速听觉刺激同样增强了被试者对快速语音的识别能力。
为更直接地追踪“带宽”瓶颈的皮层起源，我们与首都医科大学 [三博脑科](https://finance.sina.com.cn/realstock/company/sz301293/nc.shtml) 医院合作，在难治性癫痫患者的听觉皮层植入深部电极。记录结果证实，听觉皮层的局部α峰值频率与个体言语速率阈限高度相关，且该效应具有皮层特异性：仅见于听觉皮层，在躯体感觉皮层与视觉皮层中均不成立。
颅内电极记录还揭示出一个关键的半球不对称现象：加速听觉刺激可显著提高左侧听觉皮层的α频率，对右侧听觉皮层则无此作用。更重要的是，左侧听觉皮层的神经包络跟踪强度能够预测被试者随后的言语识别表现，跟踪越强，识别越准确。这进一步表明，左侧听觉皮层的α节律为快速语音解析提供了不可或缺的时间骨架，构成决定人类言语“通信带宽”的核心节点。
长期以来，脑机接口研究多聚焦于如何更精准地“读取”与“写入”神经信号。本研究则提供了一条互补思路：通过理解并调控大脑自身的节律机制，直接提升机体接收信息的“带宽”上限。这意味着，未来的脑机接口不仅可作为大脑与机器之间的“翻译器”，还可能成为拓宽人类感知与交流“带宽”的“增强器”，为高速人机协同、神经康复乃至超越生理极限的信息交流开辟新的可能。
